Welcome to my course learning how to build a blog or website in minutes. Before you get your blog or website, there’s a few things you’re going to need. Keep in mind, we’re talking about building your own website or domain, not building a Blogger blog or something like TypePad. For one, if you’re serious about making money online or building an online business, you need your own domain and you need it to look exactly how you want it. There’s no other course you can take. We can talk about domain metrics, SEO and marketing all day, but if you don’t have a professional website or a site that converts, your effort will likely be for nothing. If you’re serious about learning to build a blog, this is your guide.
Now, if you’re considering starting a blog to make money or build a website for your business, you’ve likely been doing your research. You’ve been thinking about a name, what type of products you want to sell or what type of services you want to offer. That’s a good sign, means your serious. Why mention that? You have to be serious about this, I kid you not. If you’re on the lines of thinking you can “half-ass” this, you might as well leave now because you won’t make any money. Period. Think about it, this is the foundation work of something great. YOU! This is your opportunity to change your life, change the path you’re on, this is your chance to succeed. And I can help you, but you have to be serious.
Hosting And Choosing A Domain Name
The very first thing you’re going to need is a reliable hosting account. Your hosting provider will host your domain. I have several hosting providers for my PBN, for marketing purposes also. But as a starting point, I suggest starting with Bluehost. Bluehost is a reliable hosting provider, very affordable and has great customer service. You’ll have 3 different packages you can choose from. If you’re building your first blog/site, you can go with the basic plan first. It’s going to be plenty of space and power for you. If you have a few websites going up, perhaps you’re building a small PBN, then you’d want to go with the plus or pro package. Create Your Hosting Account Here As I’m an affiliate with Bluehost, your support allows me to help others like you.
Choosing A Domain Name
Is the name of your domain important? You bet your bottom dollar it is. Not only for branding and marketing, but also for SEO. It doesn’t matter if you know SEO or not, you best bet you need it. If you know it, awesome. If you don’t, learn it or pay someone to do it. Again, you should have a general idea of what you plan to sell. If you don’t, you need to figure it out before you choose your domain name.
I always suggest using a keyword in the URL if possible. If you have a branded name, that will work. When I first started making money online, it wasn’t through selling products. I sold SEO services. That’s why we chose Hale Associations for those of you that may be wondering. Now, my product sites target the main product in the URL. I suggest you do the same. If you have big dreams to be an ecommerce legend and you have an unique name, go for it, nothing wrong with it.
Choosing Your Blogging Platform
This is honestly a no brainer. When it comes to the best blogging platforms online, very few compare to WordPress. WordPress is free. You have to install WordPress, but it’s simple. From your hosting account with Bluehost, you can install WordPress with just one click. So once you have your hosting and domain, you can get a WordPress platform in seconds and you my friend have a blog (or website).
The reason I choose WordPress is for 3 main purposes;
- Easy to use and learn
- Endless options that add functionality
- Completely 100 percent free
- Don’t need to know programming and code
- Most popular CMS (content management system) online
There’s hundreds of different platforms you could choose. You have Modern Retail, Big Commerce, Shopify, Joomla, Magneto, Drupal, Blogspot and many more. However, personally, many of them are complicated. And if you’re wanting to build a blog, WordPress is the best choice. Now, if you’re looking to build a website or store, you may want to consider other options. Even so, you can add those features with a WordPress site anyway.
About WordPress
I’ve always enjoyed designing my websites. It’s actually a great learning process. When I first started, I didn’t know code. Now I’m a WordPress developer among many other things. But it’s not hard to learn. It’s just like anything else you try to learn for the first time, there is a learning curve.
Another great thing about WordPress is all the help. Not from WordPress support (I haven’t heard from them in years). But because so many people use WordPress, the answers to your questions are literally a Google search away. You can find information on nearly anything you search for.
Best Themes For WordPress
WordPress has tens of thousands of themes to choose from. A theme is a design frame that gives your blog a specific look and functionality. WordPress themes allow you to add and customize the look of your WordPress website. Thousands of them are free, probably ok to start with. But remember, you need to be after a professional look. When I first started, I relied on free themes. Many people do. Although the theme is free, you always get what you pay for.
If you’ve did your research, I’m sure you’ve looked at premium themes. They can cost as little as $10 and be as much as a few hundred dollars. This is the cost of (1) WordPress theme. If it has a good look and some good features, it’s well worth the investment. But what if you could get 87 premium WordPress themes for the price of one? Well, you can through me.
WordPress Themes Package
It doesn’t matter if you’re only building one website or you’re building 100, the deal below is the best WordPress themes package online. You heard me right, 87 premium WordPress themes, 6 premium plugins for WordPress and lifetime access. You don’t have to pay monthly, you pay one time and you get full access to them all. There’s nothing online that comes close. If you’re going to buy a premium theme or two, you might as well get 87 and then some. Plus, you help support me as I’m an affiliate with them. So thanks. Get Your 87 Premium WordPress Themes Now
What I absolutely love about this deal is the value. You get 87 premium themes. Even if they were only $10 each, that would be $870. Some of these themes are worth $50 or more. I value it around $1,200. And then you get 6 free premium WordPress plugins. Total value around $100. Complete value is around $1,300 and you only pay a small percentage of that. Around $250.
You Now Have Everything You Need
